Greetings depend on where you are, age, type of
relationship or kinship. Today I'm going
to talk about greetings around the world. We are going to start with India, As you know Indian
people have a lot of awesome traditions but one of the big differences its
culture is when they greet to others . Every Time that they want to say hello,
they do a reverence like in the Namaste it meaning respect, humility, also it's
used to say thank you and apologize.

There are many countries whose greetings are
restricted, for example Finland, you can't hug someone who's not of your
family, but here in Latin America we can do it because its meaning is affection
and warmth.
Shake hands is another way to say hello. In Europe people
usually shaking hands and see fixedly to the person but in japan you can´t do this,
you have to looking down, they do this for respect. In Arab countries people usually do a lot of
contact when they greet. But just for men because they can't touch women.
There are countries where people kiss when they greet.
Central European countries such as Switzerland and the Netherlands they greet
with three kisses, starting with the cheek right, then left and finally right.
In Latin America people usually give just a kiss on the cheek but in some
countries of Russia the men usually kiss on their lips. As you could see there
are a lot of differences between the countries and their greetings and coustums.
